Sean White - Quarterback
Sean White is a four-star, pro-style quarterback from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The 6-foot-2, 204-pound signal-caller committed to Auburn July 16, 2013.
@SeanWhite_12 via Twitter: "I have just committed to Auburn University! WAR EAGLE!!!!!"
White threw for 2,656 yards and 30 touchdowns with five interceptions as a senior at University School in Florida. He was also named the MVP of the Under Armour All-America Game after connecting on 10 of 12 passes for 156 yards and two touchdowns.
White understands he'll have to fight his way to the top of the depth chart when he arrives on campus. Current starting quarterback Nick Marshall and backup Jeremy Johnson are already familiar with the offense. Marshall, a mobile, play-extending quarterback out of the pocket, is almost the complete opposite from White, so it'll take time before White can grab the reins of the offense and get the school moving toward another title.
"[Marshall] can teach me a lot just through experience," White said via AL.com. "In one year he took the team from 3-9 to the national championship and he was a big part in that, so I'm going to learn from him and he's going to make me better."
White excelled in the Elite 11 camp and was named the competition's MVP. His accuracy and quick release make him a lethal weapon for any offensive scheme and also possesses a sixth sense in the pocket.
"His accurate isn't just accurate, it's exact. It's an NFL type of ball," former NFL quarterback Trent Dilfer told ESPN. "He has an artistic ball. He paints a picture with his ball."
Although Marshall is a better fit for the current read-option run game, White could add a passing aspect to the offense that would pair well with receiver D'haquille Williams, the No. 1 JUCO prospect in the nation who recently committed to the Tigers.
